Research across ~700k Hotjar sessions, four competitors and the Arduino forum. Building and interacting became two clear modes instead of four, with a toolbar designed to grow. Validated after launch at 62% CSAT.

A statue of Ugo Foscolo with PTSD: aircraft and traffic noise trigger it, an Arduino UNO R4 and a servo raise an arm to cover its face, a Bluetooth voice recites his poems — and ML5.js ends the performance when someone hugs it.

Not just inverting colours. The palette cut to the essential, contrast brought up to guideline compliance, the accent reserved for hover and selection — and a system that stays maintainable without a dedicated design-system team.
